Dr. Beverly Alexander
Answering “yes” to God’s clarion call in 1997, Dr. Beverly Alexander, First Lady of New Light Family Christian Center, is a licensed and ordained woman of the cloth. Well equipped with spiritual gifts, she is an able teacher and a dynamic storyteller blessed with an ability to connect biblical narratives to modern realities. Led by Holy Spirit, Dr. Beverly is daily humbled by her immensely close relationship with God, the Lover of her soul, whom she intimately calls “Daddy.”
With a heavy mantle for the downtrodden and a calling to be a conduit for helping broken
women mend, Dr. Beverly is a wise counselor whose non-judgmental guidance has affected
positive change in many women’s lives. From her personal life’s journey, she lives by a valiant
proclamation that one’s misery becomes one’s ministry, one’s pain becomes one’s purpose,
and one’s test becomes one’s testimony. She embraces Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 8:28
assuring the afflicted that “the plan for your life is greater than the pain in your life.”
Dr. Beverly earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, a Master of Arts from
Ashland Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Ecumenical Theological Seminary.
